Love the trees and weed!

Greetings,
Hey bro, It was great to see you and
hang at Skibo. Thanks mucho for your
supreme hospitality. The dinner with the Beer
battered Salmon was off the chain. Look forward
to seeing you and Maya in Amsterdam in June. Send
me the exact dates when you will be there.
We'll roll up a big blunt there. I will
look into the cruises for the Mediterranean
for your future travels. Your birthday
gathering will be a event I will remember for
the rest of my life. Such an amazing
crew of quality vibes.. and the show at the
theatre was super fresh.. Up close and personal..
Nice one brother.. Keep in touch..
RESPECT!

Herbie and Maya,
Sylvia and I want to thank you for inviting
us to the Birthday Bash. It was the best party
ever!! The entertainment was incredible. We
thought Tommy Castro was a perfect choice,
and the food was absolutely outstanding. Even
though we hardly knew anyone, it was
fun meeting all of your friends. We were honored
that you allowed us to celebrate this special
event with you and gratified that the event
helped the theater.
Thank you for your friendship, sincerely,
Del and Sylvia

Hi,
FABULOUS BIRTHDAY PARTY!
I love your neighbors! Joel,
Don, and Larry. Joel is positively
hilarious- love that quick wit!
and poor Peter (Owner of the Record)
will never forget me....Oh well , I wouldn't
be a Herbert if I didn't stick my big foot
in my mouth once in a while, in front of
an audience.
You know I sat across from Kathy (Dave Denny's
wife) at dinner Friday night. and You
originally told me about the work she was
doing trying to save everyone's hearing -particularly
musicians, years ago. So, I
asked her how it was going and I was really
impressed with all she has accomplished-and
all she is still trying to do - particularly
the educational portion of it.
I told her to talk with you, since
I know you have supported all kinds of things
over the years, and thought this might be
near and dear to your heart.
So, hope I didn't over step my bounds...as
I have never made such a suggestion to anyone
before....
Anyway, we had the best time ever. (and
so did my Cooperlicious! he LOVED the beach!)
Love, Katie Herbert

Herbie - Butch Allen had to pull out at the
last minute because of a
project he was working on. He said to give
you his best. I am so glad
John and Anne could make it. I wish
I could have been there to see your
face when he walked out of the bathroom!!
As you can imagine we're jammed today!! Back
to work and we'll talk later.

Dear herbie and maya:
I can't tell you what an amazing party
it was. It was so nice to get to take
a
walk down the paths with you and learn
about what you have done with the
land
I wanted to also thank you personally
and chip znuff for opportunity that
was given me. Without chip and enuff
znuff we probably never had met
As time has proven its been a wonderful
thing for all of us and has affected
so many people
I was also able to spend 20 with john
and anne at their gate @ sfo today.
Had a great talk with them
I think we should do a party at least
every 5 years! Hope to see you
both
soon!
Love always,

Ps - it was also great to see neal.
Wonderful changes for him. I like his
new girlfriend too! Doesn't put

Herbie:
Stephani & I had a great time at
your party. There was so many
good people there. Maya did a great job.
The food was fantastic!
I had a fun time talking with Parish,
Ole, ChipsEnough, Jorstad,
Patricia, Glen, Freddy, Panos, Soapy & many
others. Tommy
Castro was excellent and I thought Steve
did a great job as MC.
Steve & I are talking about going
up to Ole's tomorrow. He said you
might come over to Ole's?

Sy: thank you, and
Maya too, for the great time on Saturday and
night. The music was outstanding and
the whole thing was down right fun. I
never saw Neal Schon play live before. Wow. That
was a special Happy Birthday song.
There were some interesting people at
your party I wish had gotten a chance to talk
to a little but more than I did. I didn't
even get Mr. Parrish's contact information. But
I'm always apprehensive about taking things
too far-too fast, so I have missed few opportunities
letting them slip by. Not slipping by
is our wedding on June 21. You and Maya
are certainly invited and I will send you will
be getting foraml invitation, and of course
no expectations, but a good time for sure.
On my work front, I'm on an at-will contract
with my employer, who has given me notice the
job will most likely end in June. We'll
stay in Ojai, of course, but I'll be looking
for work: I guess I already am. For the
first time maybe ever, I'm trying to aim my
work in a direction rather than sitting back
and seeing what comes my way. Although
it always works out, it can add a little tension,
and we don't need any more of that in thee
world right now.
I heard some talk from someone I didn't
get the opportunity to meet about an area of
great interest to me. The Urantia Book
states quite clearly that modern day Tibetans
represent the most spiritually advanced people
on our planet. The most evolved people
so to speak. I figure the Chinese eradication
plan is bad for all of us. As peaceful
souls to whom violence does not exist as an
option, the Tibetans need all the help they
can get. I'm not sure what I can do,
but I would like to help. I've been saying
I'm a Sherpa for so long I figure I better
prove it.
Also on the work front, I didn't really
get a chance to talk with Angelo, but unless
there is some reason I shouldn't, I would like
to contact him, or please pass my information
to him, whichever you feel is best. Or
tell me I shouldn't go there-I'm looking for
your advice as much as anything. I'm
not even sure it's even possible, but it's
been on my mind for some reason and it just
keeps getting affirmed. I figure: "Sometimes
the cards ain't worth a dime/If you don't lay
'em dow-how-ow-own."
Thanks for everything Herbie.
Thank you again, and no hurry as I know you
old growth Hippies have one of those Dali clocks
tied to a butterfly's tooth locked in a dimensional
variable AND you're retired. Enjoy the
60's-if not like the first time, however you
want. Wait, that is like the first time.

Hi Maya,
The power module in my computer failed. When
that happens the computer doesn’t have
enough power supply to stay booted.
It has been a rough weekend, but finally
I am back up and running on new computer. Luckily,
I was able to pull the hard drive out of the
G5 and download everything to the new computer’s
hard drive, so I am safe. But, it was a white
knuckle ride. Apparently, the lifespan of a hard
drive getting use every day is about 5 years
to seven years maximum. My G5 is five years old.
I will put up the photos (by Wednesday).
Letters in simple text .
I think you missed the email Barb
and I sent from my iPhone. Anyway, we loved the
party and I am so happy that I could be the one
to design the invitation, handbill, laminate and
website for you and Herbie. The party was awesome.
The planning, the attention to detail and greatest
of all the LOVE.
Hugs,
Jim Welch

Hi David!
I have the Bio DVD (15 mins)... It is great... Maybe
have it streaming as folks file in? Let's talk
to Mitch about when we should play it...
Steve Parish is the MC. A number of guys will
be jamming with the Castro band... I hope that Steve
(T.C.'s manager) was able to get ahold of you...
I have a copy of our guest list for the door... I
also have some envelopes with laminates for will-call. Otherwise,
everyone should have a laminate on and enter easily....
When can we hook up tomorrow so I can give you the
DVD? Or do you just want to pick it up at the
party during the day? I played it on
my mac and it went fine...
Cheers,
Maya |
Yo Todd!
Fast work dude...
Yesterday I was literally in "happy" tears

Hello Gordon,
I have just hung up from chatting to Maya about the
party. I understand you have not replied
to your invitation yet. I mentioned to
Maya that you would have to be traveling up and back
on the same day. Maya wants me to pass
on to you a suggestion that you are very welcome
to crash (at no charge) at a house that she has available. There
will be others there, but you would be very welcome.
Please respond to Maya about whether you are able
to go to the party, and if so, whether you would
like to take advantage of her kind offer to stay
at the place she has.
There was mention also of the sound system at the
Point Arena Theatre, which could probably do with
a helping hand from you! So that is something
else to be discussed with Maya - an email will be
fine!
All the best, Patricia |
